Organic View – SEO Inspector Privacy Policy

Organic View – SEO Inspector is designed to inspect webpages locally in the user’s browser.

Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information, browsing history, page contents, audit results, usage analytics or telemetry.

How page analysis works

The extension has access to standard HTTP and HTTPS pages so it can inspect the active page selected by the user. Standard page analysis reads the rendered document in the active browser tab and processes the results locally on the user’s device.

To identify HTTP status and redirects, the extension observes top-level navigation events and temporarily retains the latest status and redirect path for each open tab in browser session storage. This information stays on the user’s device, is removed when the tab closes or the browser session ends, and is never transmitted to the extension publisher or a third party.

If the user explicitly selects Check server HTML, the extension fetches the currently inspected URL to compare the server HTML and response headers with the rendered page. This request is sent directly from the user’s browser to the website being inspected. Browser cookies and login credentials are not included. The result is processed locally and is not sent to the publisher or any third party.

Local storage

When the user chooses to save a comparison baseline, the page snapshot is stored locally through Chrome’s extension storage. It is not synchronized to our servers. The user can replace or delete the baseline from the extension.

Third parties

The extension does not use third-party analytics, advertising, artificial intelligence, keyword, backlink, ranking or performance field-data services.

Permissions

  • Website access and scripting: Inspect the active HTTP or HTTPS page selected by the user and highlight relevant elements. This access is not used for browsing analytics or permanent browsing-history collection.
  • Side panel: Display the extension interface beside the inspected page.
  • Storage: Save user-requested comparison baselines locally and temporarily retain the latest navigation trace.
  • Website requests: Run the server HTML comparison only when the user selects Check server HTML.
  • Web request and navigation: Identify top-level HTTP responses and redirects and refresh the panel after the active page changes. Redirect paths are temporary and local.

Security and retention

Organic View does not operate a backend service and does not receive the information processed by the extension. Locally saved comparison baselines remain in the browser until the user replaces or removes them or uninstalls the extension.

Children’s privacy

Organic View is a professional website-inspection tool and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated date and policy will be published on the product website. Material changes to data handling will also be reflected in the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures before the related extension update is released.
